The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has been following up on the death of two Jordanian citizens in Cairo and Istanbul, the Ministry's Operations Director Sufian Qudah said.

Both the Jordanian embassies in Cairo and Ankara were following up with the concerned authorities of both countries to investigate the causes of the two incidents, Qudah added.

Initial reports indicated that a 57-year-old man has suffered a stroke and died in Cairo, while a 69-year-old woman has suffered a sudden cardiac arrest.

The Jordanian Embassy in Ankara and the Ministry’s Operations Department have taken the necessary measures to transfer the body of the deceased to the Kingdom, while the Jordanian Embassy in Cairo has taken the necessary measures to bury the citizen in Egypt upon his family's request, Qudah added.
