Two people were killed in an explosion during an equipment test at a military base in the far north of Russia on Thursday, August 8, 2019, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

"The blast left six Defense Ministry employees and a developer injured, while two specialists died of their wounds," the statement added.
