Following the inauguration of the fifth exhibition of Jordanian products and industries organized by the Amman Chamber of Industry in the northern West Bank city of Jeni on Tuesday, July 30, 2019, the Jordanian Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply, Tariq Hammouri, met with his Palestinian counterpart to discuss boosting trade exchange between the two countries.

During the meeting in Ramallah, Hammouri stressed the Jordanian and Palestinian governments' commitment to establish the framework for developing bilateral trade exchange.

The two ministers stressed the need to enhance the efforts of both governments to provide a stimulating environment and overcome all obstacles facing the Palestinian and Jordanian private sector, in a way that benefits Jordan and Palestine's economy.

The ministers discussed a plan of action to boost the volume of trade exchange, and the time frame for its implementation.

Hammouri said that the Palestinian and Jordanian governments provide the groundwork that enables the private sector to buy and sell, pointing to the importance of the economic relationship with Palestine on all levels and in various fields.
