The Cabinet approved on Wednesday, July 24, 2019, an amended draft law of the Judicial Institution of Jordan (JIJ) law for 2019.
The amended draft law aims at modifying the duration of study at the JIJ to two years instead of three.

The amendment comes as the last year of the student's study at the JIJ is a practical application of the academic plan, and since the student after graduating from the Institute is appointed as a judge for two years maximum, he joins the judicial bodies in the courts of Magistrates and First Instance, thus achieving the purpose of the last year of the JIJ's training program.

The Cabinet also approved laws for licensing and establishing Jordanian private universities for 2019 and housing fund of the Ministry of Education employees.
