First Parliamentary extraordinary session to be held on Sunday

Speaker of the House of Representatives and Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union, Atef Tarawneh has called on members of the Parliament to hold a meeting next Sunday, July 21, 2019.

The meeting will be held at 10:30 am to discuss the agenda of the first extraordinary session. The agenda of the session was published online on iPads and the official website of the House of Representatives.

Earlier on June 25, 2019, a Royal Decree has been issued, summoning Parliament to convene for an extraordinary session as of Sunday, 21 July, to endorse the following bills:

  1. Draft cybersecurity law
  2. Draft law on cancelling the Utilising IT Resources in Governmental Institutions Law
  3. Amended draft social security law
  4. Amended draft integrity and anti-corruption law
  5. Amended draft restructuring governmental institutions and departments law
  6. Draft law on cancelling the Crafts and Industries Law
  7. Amended draft Jordanian universities law
  8. Amended draft higher education and scientific research law
  9. Draft mediation for settling civil disputes law
  10. Amended draft civil procedures law
  11. Amended draft standards and metrology law
  12. Amended draft traffic law
  13. Draft weapons and ammunition law
