Palestine Parliamentary Committee President, MP Yahya Saud praised His Majesty King Abdullah II's directives to the Royal Hashemite Court chief to ensure the Al-Husseini Mosque's restoration and maintenance to preserve its Islamic identity and architecture following a fire that broke out at the Mosque earlier yesterday.

In a press statement, Saud said that this stance reflects the Hashemites' approach and that His Majesty's continued feats emphasize Jordan's role in establishing peace among the peoples of the world.

Saud also stressed that His Majesty's custodianship over the Islamic holy sites is an essential part of the Hashemite mission, calling for the consolidation of the values of peace and love and justice for the peoples.
