On Wednesday evening, July 17, 2019, His Majesty King Abdullah II closely followed up on fire that erupted in the Al-Husseini Mosque in Downtown Amman, and immediately directed the Royal Court Chief to restore the shrine and maintain its Islamic, historical and architectural designs.

The King has also ordered to provide the mosque with all it needs including furniture, equipment, and carpets.

His Majesty also directed the competent authorities to adopt a public safety plan that includes installing fire alarm systems as well as continued maintenance to historical mosques in the Kingdom.
