The Public Security Directorate (PSD) announced that the concerned security bodies along with the Royal Engineering Corps started on Saturday evening, July 13, 2019, removing and clearing unexploded old ordnance and shells reported in some parts of the northern region.

Various security bodies started the operation after receiving reports that there are unexploded old bombs and other charges in the northern region, spokesman for the PSD said.

The PSD urges the locals to cooperate with the authorities, report any sighting of old ordnance and avoid the locations where authorities will be working.
