A man, who seems to be obsessed with PUBG game, has defied the government's decision of banning the game in Jordan.

A photo circulated on social media platforms showing the man playing the game while standing in front of the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) although it was banned.

In coordination with the government, the TRC had earlier decided to ban the game for the national interest after it had received many complaints from a large number of citizens and some concerned authorities about the negative impact of this game.

In a statement, the TRC said that it reviewed the study of the World Health Organization (WHO), which classified PUBG as a violent game that leads to addiction and social isolation.

In another statement, the TRC said that it is planning to ban six other video games, including Fortnite game.

Following the ban, VPN applications were found to be the most downloaded applications in Jordan on Google Play, as VPN networks give users access and allow them to unblock the game.

A VPN (virtual private network) is a security solution that grants users secure and private access to the internet. Through an anonymous server designed to hide the sensitive user information.
