The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) has recently completed the temporary consolidation of the building affected by the explosion that took place in Downtown Amman earlier on Thursday, July 4, 2019, in order to promote public safety.

During his visit to the site last Thursday, Amman's Mayor Yousef Al Shawarbeh directed the concerned departments to carry out the temporary consolidation at the expense of GAM until the technical procedures and studies carried out by the Public Safety Committee are completed to reach final results regarding the safety of the building.

The concerned departments at GAM had earlier worked to address the repercussions of the incident in coordination with the Civil Defense Directorate (CDD) and the Public Security Directorate (PSD).
