UAE authorities have prevented MP Huda Al-Atoum from entering their territory and asked her to leave the country on the dawn of Sunday, June 30, 2019.

Al-Atom was accompanied by an official delegation of women from the House of Representatives who were on their way back to Jordan through the UAE after they have participated in a conference in Japan, media spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Sufian Qudah told Roya.

Qudah added that officials at the Jordanian Embassy and the Jordanian Ambassador in Abu Dhabi, Juma'a Al-Abbadi had tried to allow MP Al-Atoum to enter the UAE; however, her passport was denied, which prevented her from entering the UAE.

MP Al-Atoum will leave the UAE returning to Amman in the coming hours, Qudah emphasized.
