The Jordanian Ambassador to Kazakhstan has arrived in the city of Atrao this morning to check on the health conditions of the Jordanian engineers who were injured during the attack that was carried out by a group of Kazakhs against Arab workers, including Jordanians, earlier on Saturday, June 29, 2019, spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Sufian Qudah said.

In a statement to Roya, Qudah stated that a crisis cell has been formed round the clock at the Jordanian Embassy in Kazakhstan to follow up on the latest developments regarding the attack and to communicate with the concerned authorities in Nurstan (Astana).

Qudah reiterated that five of the 107 Jordanians working at the site were slightly injured during the attack and they were taken to hospital and left after receiving the necessary treatment, confirming that they were all in good health conditions.

Qudah stressed that the Ministry is contacting round the clock with the Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC) in Kazakhstan to ensure that the injured receive all their rights.

His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Regent, had earlier directed Prime Minister, Omar Razzaz and the Foreign Minister, Ayman Safadi to take all required measures to ensure the Jordanian engineers’ security and safety.
