Successfully, after multiple protests to grab the attention of the Jordanian government, Ph.D. holders have finally gotten the attention they have been demanding for, as Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Walid Maani, met with the unemployed Ph.D. holders to address their issue.

During the meeting on Monday, June 24, 2019, the unemployed highlighted the most challenging aspects in their job hunt, pointing out that the universities' policy of overtime for teaching faculties and assigning administrators and MA students to deliver lectures are some of the important reasons that diminish their opportunities to secure jobs.

Maani promised to explore possibilities to create job opportunities for 54 of the unemployed in private and public universities. He also pledged to study the reasons behind the latent issue and come up with solutions.
