Members at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) were able to arrest on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, a man who had earlier set his sister on fire and claimed that she committed suicide in Jarash.

A statement that had been issued earlier on Monday, indicated that a 35-year-old woman had burned herself inside her family house in Jerash.

However, media spokesman for the CID said that through investigations, criminality was suspected in the incident, where the woman has been killed and has not committed suicide as claimed.

The killer was arrested, investigated and had confessed to burning his sister by pouring kerosene on her body due to family disputes.

The case was referred to the judiciary.
