A resident doctor working in the Department of General Surgery at King Abdullah University Hospital in Irbid was physically assaulted by a man who was accompanying a patient, a source at the Hospital said on Monday, June 10, 2019.

The source said the patient was receiving treatment in the Emergency Department when the man hit the doctor from the back on the head.

The doctor was taken to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and a complaint was filed against the aggressor.
