A group of Israeli settlers has renewed incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque, under heavy Israeli army protection on Monday morning, May 27, 2019.

More than 30 members of the Israeli special forces, officers and members of the Israeli police and the military intelligence stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque and were stationed in the courtyard of Al-Qibli Mosque (the roofed mosque) in order to secure the entry of the settlers and tourists to Al-Aqsa, according to Ma’an News Agency.

Director of the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS), Nasser Qaws said that the Israeli occupation forces have also arrested three youth upon their entry to Al-Aqsa.

The Israeli police toured Al-Aqsa and took photos of all those who were there and in the meantime, a group of extremist settlers stormed through Al- Magharebah Gate.

Minister of Internal Security and the Israeli police leadership promised the "alleged temple groups" to open Al-Aqsa Mosque on the so-called "Reunification of Jerusalem" or "Jerusalem Day," which falls on 28th of Ramadan.
