The Fujairah Media Office denied on Sunday, May 12, 2019, media reports which indicated that explosions took place at the Emirati Port of Fujairah this morning.

The office said in a statement, "the operations at the Port are going as normal," calling on media outlets to be responsible and rely on official sources for their information.

International media outlets have broken news about blasts at the Fujairah Port between 4 am and 7 am today, stating that seven to eight oil tankers docking in the port caught on fire.
