His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army inaugurated on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, the premises of the General Directorate of the Gendarmerie’s Moab command in Karak, established within a strategy to better serve local communities in a decentralized manner.

His Majesty expressed his pride in the performance of the Jordanian gendarmerie personnel, their level of readiness and their efforts to preserve the security of Jordan and the Jordanian citizens.

Upon his arrival, His Majesty was received by Director of the General Directorate of Gendarmes, Hussein Hawatmeh and senior officers.

His Majesty met with Major General Hawatmeh for a period of time, during which he discussed a number of security and organizational matters related to gendarmerie forces.

His Majesty was briefed to the work and duties of the new command, and to the most important modernization and development plans adopted by the gendarmerie in order to improve the performance of their personnel and provide the highest levels of security for citizens and residents in all regions of the Kingdom.
