Sri Lankan authorities revealed that 13 people were involved in the bombings that targeted churches and hotels on Easter Sunday, killing and injuring hundreds of people.

According to the authorities, the National Thowheeth Jama'ath (National Monotheism Organization) was behind these terrorist attacks on the churches and hotels in Colombo, Negombo, and Batticaloa.

Some unconfirmed report identified Zahran Hashim as the suicide bomber and “mastermind” behind the attack on Shangri La hotel, according to The Jerusalem Post.

It added that Hashim had intended to attack the Indian High Commission in Colombo earlier this month but his attempt had foiled.

The National Tawheed Jamaath imam had a history of racism and Islamic superiority and had previously posted several YouTube videos during which it preached comments that could be considered incitement to racial discrimination on religious grounds.
