A man has died after being shot with a firearm on early Monday, April 22, 2019, in Amman, according to a spokesman for the Public Security Directorate (PSD).

The spokesman added the after he had fired a bullet from the gun, the shooter had fled away and the victim had been referred to a hospital, yet died immediately.

The incident was directly investigated to reveal the defendant's identity, who had surrendered himself to a security center in the area, claiming that he had mistakenly shot the victim.

The investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
