Dozens of Palestinian students and teachers were suffocated by inhaling tear gas that was thrown by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) at the compound of southern schools in Hebron, West Bank on Sunday morning, April 21, 2019.

Hebron Education Directorate said in a statement that the IOF fired a large number of poisonous gas bombs at students and teachers as they entered the school on Sunday morning, which caused suffocation, and they were given first aid at the scene.

The southern area school complex is attacked daily by the Israeli settlers and the IOF, which affects the teaching process directly, as well as terrorizes the students.

The school complex includes schools such as Zu al-Nurin School, al-Hajriya School, Tariq bin Ziyad School, UNRWA School, Khadija bint Khuwailid School, Beit al-Maqdis Elementary School and Hebron Elementary School for boys.
