In accordance with the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces to provide citizens with the best care possible, the General Director of the Gendarmerie, Major General Hussein Al Hawatmeh ordered to respond to the appeal of one of the retired military officers to aid his son who was injured in a road accident.

The General Directorate of Gendarmerie (GDG) in cooperation with the Jordan Air Ambulance Center (JAAC) evacuated the wounded citizen from Karak Governmental Hospital to King Hussein Medical Center due to his critical health condition and the need to be given intensive care during transportation.

GDG signed a deal with JAAC that air ambulance services are included in the salaries of the gendarmerie and their families in emergency air cases, as some trips have been provided to the local community to benefit from this service at the expense of GDG.

The Air Ambulance Center provides its services with helicopters with advanced equipment in the field of intensive care, and specialized medical staff supervising medical evacuations to provide emergency health care to a number of government and private institutions based on contracts to secure their employees.
