Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Hala Zawati and Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla discussed joint projects related to diversification of energy sources, namely natural gas.

The two ministers in a meeting in Aqaba also discussed carrying out joint ventures in order to meet the two brotherly countries' needs of natural gas.

They also discussed means of benefiting from the expertise and capabilities of Egyptian companies to develop the natural gas infrastructure in the Kingdom.

The two officials toured the Jordanian-Egyptian FAJR for Natural Gas Transmission and Supply Company, and were briefed on following up on control and monitoring system (SCADA) to operate the 450-kilometre gas pipeline inside the Kingdom.
