Jordan and the Arab and Islamic nations are celebrating on Wednesday April 3, 2019 the Isra and Mi'raj which falls on the 27th of Rajab in the Islamic lunar calendar.

Isra and Mi'raj symbolizes the close bond between Muslims wherever they are and solidifies the unity of the Islamic world.

Isra and Mi’raj is the Night Journey taken by the prophet Muhammad who traveled on the back of a winged mule-like white beast called Buraq from Mecca to Jerusalem during a single night around the year 621. Within Islam it signifies both a physical and spiritual journey.
