Burj Khalifa has been lit up on Friday, 22 March, with an image of New Zealand's Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern, hugging a mourning woman at the Kilbirnie mosque in Wellington.
The word 'peace' in both Arabic and English was marked on the building in honor, a week after 50 people lost their lives in the Christchurch terrorist attack.
Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the prime minister of the United Arab Emirates and ruler of Dubai, tweeted a photo of the Burj Khalifa.
“Thank you PM Jacinda Ardern and New Zealand for your sincere empathy and support that has won the respect of 1.5 billion Muslims after the terrorist attack that shook the Muslim community around the world,” he tweeted.

The heartbreaking image was projected on the same day New Zealand broadcast the Muslim call to prayer on national television and radio.
Ardern has been praised for her response to the tragedy by politicians and people all around the world.
