High demand for gold in Jordan

Sale of 21-carat gold in the local market rose to 27.20 Jordanian dinars on Thursday, compared to 26.8 dinars on Wednesday.

According to executive secretary, Ribhi Alan, of the General Association for Owners of Jewelry Shops’s the sale price per gram of yellow metal 24 and 18 was about 32.10 dinars and 24.10 dinars, respectively.

Alan noted that the local market is witnessing a good demand for the yellow metal coinciding with the occasion of Mother's Day.

Alan pointed out that the price of gold on the global market reached to 1318 dollars per ounce, compared to 1305 dollars on Wednesday.
