Jordan, Turkey discuss strengthening economic cooperation

The Chairman of the Jordanian Businessmen Association, Hamdi Tabbaa, discussed on Sunday, 17 March, with Sabouhi Attar, President of Turkish–Arab Countries Business Association, ways of strengthening the bilateral economic cooperation.

According to a statement by the Jordanian Businessmen Association, Jordan will provide Turkish investors with all information related to the business environment in Jordan in order to facilitate their work.

In cooperation with the Investment Authority and the Jordanian Embassy in Ankara, a memorandum of understanding will be signed on “Jordan’s Day”, which will be held next month in Izmir.

Tabbaa pointed out that Jordan has a number of trade agreements with many countries, which Turkey can benefit from.

Moreover, Tabbaa called for taking advantage of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone that is considered as a gateway to the region and the world.

For his part, Attar stressed the importance of facing the challenges that stand in the way of increasing the volume of trade exchange between the two countries.
