Heavy rainfall caused the Wala Dam in Madaba to reach full capacity and flood.

Ministry of Water and Irrigation spokesman Omar Salama had warned earlier that the dam was expected to flood after reaching its capacity of 8.2 million cubic meters.

Earlier, the Ministry of Water confirmed that it is working to increase the size of the dam to 25 million cubic meters, where it is expected to complete work by the end of next year 2020.
