Jordan and Iraq started implementing the provisions of the memorandum of understanding recently signed in the fields of communications and information technology during the meetings held last Thursday in Amman between the Jordanian Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Muthanna Al Gharaybeh with the Iraqi Minister of Communications Dr. Naeem Al-Rubaie who is visiting the Kingdom.

Al-Gharaybeh said that the memorandum signed is the beginning of the road to widen cooperation in all fields. He pointed out that the ICT sector has become a necessity and a priority for all and contributes directly to the development of all sectors.

For his part, Dr. Al-Rubaie praised the development of the ICT sector in Jordan, as well as the companies investing in this sector, calling for the possibility of benefiting from Jordanian experiences in these areas to develop the infrastructure of Iraq.

The two sides agreed to continue to hold coordination meetings to follow up the implementation of the provisions of the memorandum of understanding and ensure the great benefit of both countries of this cooperation.
