Amman's Mayor Yousef Al Shawarbeh said that the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) has started developing electronic services for the citizens to streamline procedures and eliminate bureaucracy.

The Mayor announced that by the end of 2020 GAM will have completed the process of electronic transformation, noting that in 2018 about 25 percent of the project was completed, while this year will be the focal point of the transformation.

The Mayor also revealed that GAM’s plan to transform Amman to a “smart city” will start by building a road map by looking at other countries’ experiences in this field, stressing that the digital transformation in the comprehensive sense needs real partnership among all parties.
