Minister of Information and Communications Technology Muthana Gharaibeh said that the government met with a number of international companies to invest in Jordanian human resources.

Minister Gharaibeh said during a meeting hosted by the World Bank Group in Washington, DC, that the government established about 7,000 km of fiber optic network, which reached hospitals, schools and official institutions.

Gharaibeh pointed out that Jordan's population constitutes 3% of the population of the region and added that the government wants to benefit from the network in delivering fast Internet service at the best possible prices.

He indicated that the Government would open the network to partnership with the private sector to invest in it to sell the delivery network to the original service providers in the market.
