The emirate of Mecca denied that its prince Khaled Al-Faisal prevented musical performances and singing in Mecca’s restaurants, and confirmed that what is circulating in social media has been published as a "prior directive" related to a specific restaurant in Jeddah which was shut down on the basis of "moral violations inside the restaurant”.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Entertainment in Saudi Arabia Turki Al-Sheikh announced at a press conference in Riyadh on Tuesday the start of issuing live concert licenses for all cafes and restaurants in the Kingdom for musical performances and comedy improvisation.
