According to a spokesman of the Public Security Directorate (PSD), the Preventive Security Department south of Amman began a few days ago to investigate a fraud complaint filed by a woman that a man tricked her into paying a sum amounting to 15 thousand Jordanian dinars after convincing her to unravel curses and spells cast upon her and her family.

The charlatan was arrested and later confessed that he along with another person tricked the woman into giving them the money. The investigations are still ongoing.

The PSD spokesman called on citizens not to deal with people who claim to possess supernatural abilities and sorcery so as not to fall victim to their misleading fraudulent acts, and to immediately inform the authorities.
