Three children were confirmed dead in a house fire in Al-Nahda area in south Shouneh on late Sunday, January 6, 2019, according to a statement issued by the Civil Defense Department (CDD).

The statement pointed out that the fire broke out due to electrical contact. Ambulance crews and rescue teams extinguished the fire and the deaths were referred to the South Shouneh Hospital.
