Attorney General of Amman, Judge Ahmed Al Afif, issued a warrant to arrest Al Wakeel News owner, Mohammad Al Wakeel, and a news editor after publishing an offensive picture of Jesus Christ on Facebook, and were charged with incitement of sectarian and religious strife, Article 150, and Article 15 of the cybercrime law, December 10, 2018.

Both were ordered to be held at the Jweideh Correctional and Rehabilitation Centre (JCRC) for a week, as investigation commences.
