Activists on social media announced this week that they plan to organize a protest to denounce the Income Tax Bill (ITB) in the vicinity of the Prime Ministry on the fourth circle on Friday, November 30, 2018.

A source close to Amman’s administrative governor said in a statement to Roya that no request or notice was received to organize any activity tomorrow.

The source, who asked to remain anonymous, added that the authorities have learned of invitations on social networks to organize an event on the fourth circle tomorrow.

He pointed out that the organization of any event or public activity in the capital or the governorates, must first be submitted to the administrative governor for approval, and in accordance with laws and regulations, under Article 4 of the Jordanian Law.

The source stressed that if the administrative governor is not notified of the event, the procedures followed in such cases will be taken according to the law, in order to preserve the security and safety of the citizens, and not to cause any closures on roads.
