Heavy blizzards ground more than 1200 flights in US

Many holidaymakers in the United States found themselves stranded at airports on the last day of the Thanksgiving holiday, after more than 1240 flights were canceled due to a blizzard that swept the Midwest, on Sunday, November 25, 2018.

The US National Weather Service warned of snow storms wit winds up to 56 km per hour hitting the states of Kansas, Chicago, Missouri, Nebraska and Iowa, with snow expected to reach 15 to 30 cm.
