Deputy Prime Minister, Rajai Muasher, said on November 21, 2018, that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) informed the Jordanian government that the new Income Tax Law (ITB), has lost its purpose after the amendments of the House of Representatives.

Muasher said during the meeting with the Senate that the Government informed the IMF that it is a right of the House of Representatives, and that "the Fund should not impose on us what we should and should not accept,” and assured the IMF that the Government will discuss the matter with the House of Representatives to reach a solution.
