If you’re flying out of or into Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) today, you might be there around the same time “Airport International Group” (AIG) conducts a mock emergency exercise.

Several agencies operating at the airport will take part in the real time emergency exercise.

The exercise is designed to deal with emergency situations in accordance with international and national requirements of civil aviation and in line with international aviation safety requirements.

“Airport International Group” assured all passengers that the exercise will not interfere with their flight times or cause any delays.

QAIA welcomed 6,542,539 passengers between January and September 2018, a 5.5% increase in passenger traffic compared with the same period last year, according to the AIG website.
