The Committee of Public Safety in Kufranja city, headed by Assistant to District Director Ali Issawi, has evacuated houses located near streams and valleys. Kufranja city in Ajloun has a population of around 35,000 people (Wikipedia) with some residents living near slopes, streams and valleys.

The evacuation mission was conducted in cooperation and coordination with the associated authorities in the Kufranja’s Security Center, the Directorate of Health, the Municipality as well as the Ministry of Public Works’ office and the Ministry of Agriculture’s office in Kufranja.

Issawi said that the Committee has revised the population in the area, taking into consideration that residents living in areas prone to floods are evacuated and transferred to safer places.
