Ministry of Social Development provides emergency aid to families in Ma'an

Ministry of Social Development in Ma'an Directorate –with the help of the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF), Police Security Forces (PSD) in Ma'an, the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) as well as other international organizations– have been distributing food and aid supplies along with warm clothes to 150 families in several areas of Ma'an Governorate who were affected by the bad weather conditions that hit the Kingdom during the past two days.

Director of the Ministry of Social Development in Ma'an, Amjad Al Jazi, stated on Sunday, November 11, 2018, that the weather conditions, which negatively affected the province, have caused some houses to be surrounded by flooding water.

He added that relief aid supplies were provided to family members who reside in the affected villages, pointing out that a team from the Directorate, and in cooperation with the Ma'an Operation Unit, has an inventory of all distressed families in need for emergency aid in the area of Al-Jafr, Ma’an.
