The Civil Defense said in a statement, on Sunday, November 11, 2018, that there are more than 500 members of Civil Defense teams in partnership with the Armed Forces, Public Security, and Gendarmerie forces, searching for the missing girl, who was swept away by a flash flood, on Friday, November 9, 2018.

The Director General of the Civil Defence, Maj. Gen. Mustafa Al- Bazaiha, ordered the dispatch of rescue teams to comb the Dead Sea area towards Wala, and deployment of Civil Defense and Royal Navy boats to search the sea, and coordination with armed forces helicopters, to search for the missing girl.
