The flooding on the other side of the Dead Sea resulted in the collapse of part of Road 90, Friday, November 9, 2018.

Israeli police barricaded the road from both directions after parts of it collapsed due to flooding caused by torrential rains.

According to Palestinian media, the southern section of Road 90 is closed to traffic in both directions in the Wadi Al Nar area, which stretches from the eastern parts of Jerusalem to the Dead Sea.

Israeli Channel 10 confirmed Friday evening that the Israeli civil defense rescued four tourists by helicopter after they fell from a high altitude near Road 90, in the city of Jericho as a result of floods.

The Israeli weather forecast warned of flooding in valleys and lowlands in the coming days.
