The Wala Dam flood has decreased from 120 cubic meters per second to 60, and the dam is in good condition, stated Jumana Ghunaimat, Minister of State for Information Affairs, and Government Spokesperson.

She added that the dam is designed to withstand floods and that there are no damages.

Citizens were evacuated from the course of the valley below the dam, in coordination with Madaba Governorate and the dam’s workers.

 

Ghunaimat stressed that the volume of the flow to the Mujib dam increased to 140 cubic meter per second, noting that the dam is 16 million cubic meters full, out of 29 million cubic meters capacity.

She pointed out that the the dam gained about 2 million cubic meters today, adding that large amounts of water are also entering the Shuaib Dam.
