In a cable sent to President of Indonesia Joko Widodo, His Majesty King Abdullah II expressed sincerest condolences and sympathies to the President, the Indonesian government, the grieving families of the victims and the people of Indonesia over the crash of an Indonesian passenger plane near Jakarta.

According to Indonesia's National Search and Rescue Agency (SAR), the plane, which was carrying 189 people, crashed shortly after it took off on Monday, October 29, 2018.
