Ministry of Environment seizes unlicensed factory, using expired chemicals

The Ministry of Environment (MOE) seized an unlicensed factory, using expired chemicals in manufacturing creams and soap in Amman, in cooperation with the Royal Department for Protecting the Environment (Rangers), and the Jordan Institution for Standards and Metrology, on Wednesday, October 17, 2018

The spokesperson of the Ministry, Mr. Issa Al-Shboul, told Jordan News Agency Petra,
that the assets were seized, and the owner of the factory was referred to justice, according to the Environmental Laws.

Al-Shboul explained that the Ministry, in cooperation with the Rangers, will keep on monitoring all facilities and factories, to ensure that they adhere to the environmental and health requirements.

The spokesperson of the Ministry urged the public to report any violations or illegal practices by calling the toll free number (117119), so that the cadres of the Ministry can immediately begin investigation and take action, based on the environmental laws and regulations.
