When it rains, it pours.

At least that was the case in Amman late last night, when the cloudy skies blessed us with the first rainfall before winter.

The clouds brought patchy rain in other parts of the Kingdom, including Irbid, Jerash and Irbid.

Meanwhile, southern parts of the country witnessed thunderstorms accompanied by rain showers, most prominantly in Shobak and Wadi Musa.

Despite the rain, temperatures only dropped slightly, as the weather remained fairly warm and stable.

Weather forecasters predict that temperatures will rise then fall during the first week of October as Mother Earth transitions from summer to autumn, with some rain expected to fall during the second half of the week.
