The Queen Rania Al Abdullah Park is expected to re-open its doors to the public in November, the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) announced on September 29, 2018.

The Park’s maintenance plan is of a cost of 400,000 JD, stated the Park's Manager Ghaidaa Al-Hadid. The plan executes complete renovation which includes a production kitchen, multi-purpose training rooms, a library for women, computer rooms, as well as a modern theater that can host more than 100 people.

Al-Hadid added that a five-sectioned playground is currently being set up in order to better serve Eastern Amman youth, along with renovating the already-existing playground with its family dedicated areas, corridors, and public restrooms.

The Queen Rania Al Abdullah Park receives an average of four to five thousand people daily who attend the various programs and activities offered by the Park.
