The American Chamber of Commerce in Jordan (AmCham) will be holding the 2018 MENA AmCham Regional Council Conference and Exhibition, titled “Commercialization of Innovation: A Driver for Growth in the MENA Region,” from 27-28 October, the Chairman of AmCham, Mohammed Bataineh, announced on Wednesday.

Bataineh said during a press conference held at AmCham that the conference, which will be held under the patronage of Crown Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II, and under the supervision of USAID, aims to provide businesses with the opportunity to share their experiences and learn how to develop strategies that will build a sustainable economy, in addition to “shedding light on regional and global case studies of how innovation can boost economic activity and drive growth.”

Participants will also listen to global leaders, experts and practitioners talk about the latest developments in the fields of energy, health, information technology, education and finance, and the best practices that must applied to create an innovation-powered atmosphere.

Established in 2005, the AmCham MENA Council works on fostering and enhancing collaboration and cooperation amongst the MENA AmChams and promoting greater business opportunities between the United States and the Region. In 2017 Jordan was elected as Chair of the Council for the years 2018-2020.
