The Ministry of Social Development and The Ministry of Youth signed an agreement on Monday, September 24, 2018, to implement an initiative for youth to volunteer in supporting poor families through various activities and programs.

The agreement was signed by Minister of Social Development Hala Bseiso Lattouf and Minister of Youth Makram Queisi.

Under the agreement, the Ministry of Development will implement various initiatives such as maintenance of poor families housing and raising community awareness at various development centres and charity organisations in the Kingdom.

Ministry Lattouf confirmed the Ministry’s concern in social development programs and coordination with partners in the government sectors to work in team spirit to achieve goals and enhance cooperation in the fields of social work and reducing poverty in the Kingdom.

Minister Queisi said that the agreement is the result of meetings organized by the Ministry of Youth to involve the youth in achieving developmental visions, and expanding the base of voluntary work, stressing that the governmental body works as one unit within the framework of joint coordination and integration of their roles.
